On 20th August 2025, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, Hon. Geoffrey Ruku, led a townhall press briefing and interview on JKLIVE Citizen TV at the Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete. He was joined by PS Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, Huduma Kenya CEO Ben Kai Chilumo, and KS Director General Prof. Nura Mohamed, in a discussion on milestones, challenges, and reforms in public service. The panel highlighted key achievements of Huduma Kenya in improving access, efficiency, and citizen satisfaction, while also addressing challenges such as resistance to change, staffing, and resources. CS Ruku emphasized the government’s commitment to fair remuneration for civil servants serving 58 million Kenyans, while Dr. Kere introduced the new Public Service Transformation Policy 2025, aimed at humanizing the public service and building a culture of change. Looking ahead, Huduma Kenya will expand digital platforms, strengthen partnerships, and continue driving excellence in service delivery.
